Sergio Rodriguez Jaramillo, the founder and president of the PanAmerican Squash Federation, was shot and killed in his hometown of Medellín, Colombia. Police are offering a reward for information on the killing, which occurred when Rodriguez was a passenger in a car. Authorities say they know of no threats to his life. Rodriguez, 52, was a construction worker, but also an avid sports fan. By 1996, he was a member of the executive of the Colombian Olympic Committee, and later became treasurer. He also founded the Colombian Squash Federation.
