Skullcandy is projecting sales increases of between 10 and 12 percent for this year and for 2015, partly through its international development program, which calls for a 50 percent share of total turnover outside the U.S. The leading American supplier of headphones sees potential for growth also in sports performance products, women's, Bluetoooth speakers and gaming. For the third quarter ended Sept. 30, Skullcandy has reported a 16.1 percent sales increase to $58.1 million, with gains of 18.8 percent to $38.5 million in the U.S. and 11.1 percent to $19.5 million in other markets, led by Canada, China and Mexico. The gross margin improved to 45.3 percent from 44.9 percent, and the company reported a 95 percent increase in net income to $2,106,000, in spite of a double-digit increase in marketing expenses.
