FIFA has confirmed three bids from member associations to host the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027: two joint-bid submissions and one single-bid submission received from member associations representing three confederations. The bids include a joint submission from the Royal Belgian Football Association, the German Football Association and the Royal Netherlands Football Association; a joint submission from the Mexican Football Association and the US Soccer Federation; and a single-bid submission from the Brazilian Football Association.

FIFA will now conduct a thorough evaluation process, which also includes on-site inspection visits scheduled for February 2024. The governing body will then publish its findings in a “Bid Evaluation Report” in May 2024. The evaluation process will focus on defined priority areas of the event vision, including infrastructure, services, commercial, sustainability and human rights, among others. The technical aspect of the bid evaluation model includes a scoring system to rate and weigh each of the infrastructure and commercial criteria.

Subject to the successful designation of the three bids by the FIFA Council, the appointment of the host(s) for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027 will be decided through an open vote by the FIFA Congress in Bangkok on May 17, 2024.
