Björn Borg, the Swedish company that owns the brand rights related to the Swedish tennis champion by the same name, reports a sales increase of 2 percent to 253.3 million Swedish kronor (€28.3m-$39.7m). Net profit fell by 26 percent to SEK 27.1 million (€3.0m-$4.2m), due a lower gross margin of 51.6 percent and to higher investments in the Björn Borg brand and its expansion in the U.K., where the company plans to set up its first single-brand store by next spring. Björn Borg already has 30 stores in the Netherlands and 20 more in other countries.
