Lululemon Athletica has made its debut as an exhibitor at the China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai, showcasing a “Wellbeing Playground.”

This seventh edition of the show took place on Nov. 5-10 November 2025.

The activation

The “Wellbeing Playground” featured interactive zones for yoga, running and guided meditation, designed to embody the brand’s vision of “igniting wellbeing across mind, body, and soul.” Visitors engaged with movement, mindfulness and community experiences that positioned Lululemon not just as athletic apparel brand but a holistic wellness platform too.

Strategic context

China remains a core growth engine for Lululemon. The brand has been expanding its retail footprint there through new store openings, community-led wellness partnerships and experiential events targeting the next generation of consumers. According to China Daily, Lululemon reaffirmed at the show its mission to “create a healthier, more mindful lifestyle for all” and underscored its long-term commitment to the market.

Lululemon’s debut at CIIE reinforced its strategic focus on China and highlighted the growing importance of experiential retail and wellness positioning in the Asian sportswear market.
