11teamsports, which claims to be the largest internet retailer for teams sports in the German-speaking area, collected over €8,000 for Champions without Borders, a non-profit organization in Berlin that promoted intercultural football projects for refugees. The sum will be donated to the association in the form of team equipment. 11teamsports launched the fund-raising campaign together with Nike at the start of the 2019/20 football season.The campaign called for matching each of the 750-plus goals scored by the Berlin Liga - a high-level league that replaced a former amateurs’ leagues in the German capital - during the season with a donation of €11.11. More than 750 goals were scored during the past season. In addition to its website, 11teamsports has over 30 brick-and-mortar stores in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and employs more than 1,000 people in eight countries, including Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania and Slovakia. Nike and 11teamsports recently signed a contract to supply TSV 1860 München, the third-tier Munich football club known also as ”die Löwen” (the Lions), from this summer until June 2025. The German multi-channel retailer takes care of the refinement of Nike’s apparel collection for the professional football team and is responsible for supplying the club and retailers with the new collection. The company has contracts with about 4,000 football teams.
