Footasylum’s new warehouse automation comes at no capital cost, delivered under a Robotics-as-a-Service model from THG Fulfil, the AutoStore distributor behind THG Ingenuity’s own fulfilment network, live from September 2026.

THG Fulfil, an AutoStore distributor provider of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) technology, has agreed a strategic partnership with British sportswear and fashion retailer Footasylum to design, integrate and activate a fully automated AutoStore system.

The core of the solution will be THG Fulfil’s proprietary SaaS infrastructure, including a purpose-built Warehouse Control System (WCS). The implementation will see 85 AutoStore R5 robots deployed across more than 96,000 bin locations, with 24 carousel ports and 100 percent of Footasylum’s live SKU range stored within the AutoStore grid. The project is being delivered within a three-month build program. The first order go-live is scheduled for September 2026.

For Footasylum, the implementation marks a significant transformation in fulfilment capability, with the deployment of a fully automated, goods-to-person approach designed to improve operational efficiency, optimize space use and expand capacity in line with the retailer’s growth ambitions. The project marks THG Fulfil’s first AutoStore deployment for an external retailer, and is built on the same expertise the company has applied across multiple AutoStore deployments within its own global fulfilment network.

“For Footasylum, our Robotics-as-a-Service (RaaS) commercial model removes the traditional barriers to entry for a first major automation project, giving them access to enterprise-grade infrastructure without the capital commitment,” said Tom Killeen, COO at THG Ingenuity.
