Wilson Sporting Goods has opened its first retail location in its hometown of Chicago. The 200-square-meter store, inaugurated on July 15, is located in the Gold Coast neighborhood at 932 N. Rush Street. The store offers a curated assortment of sporting goods across many sport categories such as tennis, baseball, football, basketball and golf, as well as the brand’s new athletic-lifestyle Wilson Sportswear collection, launched earlier this summer and available for both men and women. The store will initially sell limited-edition products, such as a Chicago-inspired colorway of the Wilson A2000 baseball glove, while additional exclusives dropping seasonally to coincide with key sports moments. The company said that it will continue its direct-to-consumer expansion with the opening of flagship stores in New York, Los Angeles, Beijing and Shanghai in the coming months. Wilson is a subsidiary of Amer Sports Corp.
