WFSGI announced a strategic alliance with Worldly, a leading sustainability and supply-chain intelligence platform, to accelerate ESG adoption across the sporting-goods industry. The partnership integrates Worldly’s data-driven tools with WFSGI’s global network, enabling brands and retailers to strengthen compliance, reduce risk, and improve environmental and social performance.
The collaboration introduces a 2025 Facility Engagement Programme for both existing and new Worldly users within WFSGI. Existing users gain access to Worldly’s Collaboration Suite, Insights Hub, and Learning Center, plus virtual workshops and risk-actionability sessions. New users receive up to six months of free platform access (through 31 May 2026), unlimited facility assessment shares, and onboarding support from Worldly’s Customer Success team.
To qualify, new participants must be WFSGI members and submit a list of at least ten facilities for Higg FEM or related assessments. Higg FEM (Facility Environmental Module) is a standardised tool that measures environmental performance across energy use, water consumption, emissions, waste management, and chemical handling. It provides verified, comparable data that enables brands to identify improvement opportunities, benchmark suppliers, meet regulatory requirements, and reduce scope 3 emissions.

Worldly’s platform enables brands to collect primary environmental and social data, analyse KPIs, and identify hotspots via its Insights Hub. Advanced tools like Axion add predictive risk intelligence—covering grid decarbonisation, water stress, and climate projections—to help companies prioritise high-impact actions.
The programme timeline includes enrolment and onboarding in late 2025, facility adoption campaigns through spring 2026, and insights sessions in mid-2026.
Enhanced supply-chain data and industry alignment
WFSGI members will gain access to enhanced datasets covering energy use, emissions, water, chemicals, labour practices, and other key ESG topics. These insights will be complemented by support services and industry-aligned methodologies available through the Worldly Sports & Outdoor Industry Framework.
Worldly’s data reflects both momentum and gaps. Seventy-five per cent of sporting goods production facilities on the platform have energy and emissions improvement plans. Sixty-six per cent are already reducing energy use. Facilities with formal plans are 35 per cent more likely to cut emissions. Facilities that set measurable goals are 51 per cent more likely to demonstrate progress.
The partnership aims to close the remaining gaps by deepening supplier engagement and encouraging more consistent use of verified primary data.
Supporting WFSGI’s ESG strategy
The partnership supports the federation’s updated ESG strategy for 2026–2029, which prioritizes responsible conduct (driving environmental and social improvement with aligned tools), member enablement (delivering resources, training, and practical ESG support), and advocacy (strengthening the industry’s collective voice in sustainability debates and regulatory processes).
With more consistent data and shared methodologies, WFSGI members will be better equipped to anticipate risk, improve reporting accuracy, and drive measurable improvements across global operations.
