Mikaela Cojuangco Jaworski has been a member of the IOC Executive Board since 2020.
Mikaela Cojuangco Jaworski has been appointed Chair of Coordination Commission for the Olympic Games Brisbane 2032. The appointment was made by the President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Thomas Bach, following a request from Kirsty Coventry, who stepped down from the role after her election as IOC President. Jaworski will chair the upcoming Coordination Commission meeting in Brisbane on May 20-22, which will also be attended by Bach and Coventry.
As Commission Chair, Jaworski will oversee the planning and delivery of Brisbane 2032, working closely with the Organizing Committee, local authorities, Olympic Movement stakeholders and International Sports Federations. She previously served on the coordination commissions for the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, Paris 2024 and Brisbane 2032.

Born in Manila in 1974, Jaworski is a former equestrian athlete who represented the Philippines internationally. As noted by the IOC in a statement, “she has strong connections with Australia, having trained and competed in the country, including in Brisbane, for her entire career.” Jaworski was indeed trained in Australia by Australian Olympian Vicki Roycroft for more than 20 years.
Jaworski has been a member of the IOC Executive Board since 2020, and an IOC member since 2013. She currently chairs the Olympic Education Commission and is a member of other commissions, including Digital Engagement and Marketing Communications, Sustainability and Legacy, and Esports. She also previously worked on the Women and Sport, Olympic Channel and Communications commissions.
The Olympic Games Brisbane 2032 are scheduled to take place from July 23 to August 8, followed by the Paralympic Games from August 24 to September 5.
