Richard Collier will leave Helly Hansen to be the new chief executive officer of Jack Wolfskin, effective Dec. 1. In this function, the 47-year-old Briton will be responsible in particular for the continued development of the strategic brand positioning and the further internationalization of the German brand, which was acquired by Callaway Golf Co. early last year. He succeeds Melody Harris-Jensbach, who has been at the helm of Jack Wolfskin since 2014. She had already indicated some time ago that she was going to leave the company at some point. Collier spent the last 17 years at Helly Hansen, most recently as chief product officer, contributing significantly to the company’s product, brand, operational and financial performance and building up the company’s social responsibility and sustainability program. Prior to Helly Hansen, Collier worked for Tandberg Telecom, Kurt Salmon Associates and Adidas, where he held senior sales and marketing positions. He speaks German.
