Founded in 2015 by current CEO Joe Kudla, U.S.-based activewear brand Vuori has hired four executives, three of them to newly created positions. Some of the new hires joined the company last year but were not officially announced until now.
Libby Stockstill joined the company in March as general counsel and corporate secretary, a new position at Vuori. She is responsible for building and overseeing the company’s legal department. Previously, she was vice president and global general counsel at Vans and, before that, general counsel for North America at Billabong and its broader portfolio of brands. Before joining Vans, Stockstill was in-house counsel at Latham & Watkins LLP.
Another new position, chief people officer, has been filled by Jen Frisch, responsible for hiring at the company’s Carlsbad, California, headquarters and stores. Frisch, who joined Vuori in February, previously served as senior vice president of partner resources at Starbucks Coffee Co.
Bryan Muehlberger, who was named Vuori’s first-ever chief information officer last August, is responsible for all digital and IT aspects of the company, such as the brand’s omnichannel digital commerce and new technology implementation. Previously, he was CIO of The Beachbody Company and Red Bull, among others. Muehlberger serves on the advisory board of Bloomfilter.app and is a founding member of SustainableIT.org.
Hugh Garrity joined Vuori last June as the new chief operating officer. He came from Yeti, where he served as head of global operations, navigating the company through the pandemic.
Vuori has been profitable since 2017 and was valued at $4 billion in 2021 following a $400 million investment by SoftBank Vision Fund 2. The company is currently targeting international expansion.
