Ducrey joined the IOC in 2003 from the UN in Geneva and currently serves as Olympic Games Operations Director.
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has announced the appointment of Pierre Ducrey as the IOC’s new Sports Director, effective July 1. He takes over the role from Kit McConnell, who is joining the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games Organizing Committee as Chief Sport Officer. Ducrey will report to the IOC Director General, Christophe De Kepper.

A Swiss national, Pierre Ducrey joined the IOC in 2003 from the United Nations in Geneva, where he worked on the promotion of peace and development through sport. After joining the IOC, he first worked on the development of athlete-related projects and the Olympic program, then on relations with International Federations and sports operations. In 2010, he joined the Olympic Games Department, where he currently serves as Olympic Games Operations Director, playing “a pivotal role in the delivery of the Olympic and Youth Olympic Games,” said the IOC in a statement.
