Macron will be the technical sponsor of the Korea Sepaktakraw Association for the next two seasons. Sepaktakraw is an ancient sport that originated in Thailand in the 15th century. The sport is very similar to volleyball, the difference being that it is played with the feet and the ball is made of woven rattan. Each team consists of three players. The winning team is the one that manages to win three sets out of five. At the beginning of the 20th century, the sport expanded into many Asian countries as well as the U.S. and Europe. The Korea Sepaktakraw Association, founded in 1988, has contributed to the development of this sport. Macron, which will provide the players and staff of the Korean national team with technical apparel, said that supporting sepaktakraw is expected to increase the brand’s visibility in the Asian market.
