Adidas has expanded the reach of its new version of the Adidas Confirmed app to Europe. First launched in the U.S. and China last year, the app gives the registered customer immediate access to new releases of sneakers and special collections. The app became available on March 1 in Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the U.K., the Netherlands and Poland, featuring items from the Adidas Originals and Y3 ranges such as collaborations with Sean Wotherspoon, Pharrell Williams and Craig Green. The new product drops are accompanied by product descriptions and story-telling through interviews and videos. In the U.S. and China, the number of downloads has been higher than expected. To accompany the launch of the app in Europe, Adidas has organized various takeover campaigns with NTS, the London-based underground music radio. The company launched the first version of the Confirmed app in 2015. It then integrated it into the Adidas app, but last year it created a new version for the streetwear community.
