Adidas has been announced as a new founding partner of the Global Sports Week (GSW) in Paris. The German sportswear giant joins the other founding partners of the event, which are the French Ministry of Sport, the French banking group BPCE, and EGG Events. The first edition of GSW Paris was held in the French capital city as an in-person event in February of this year. The 2021 edition is scheduled to take place on Feb. 1-5 in a hybrid format, mixing physical and digital events. The physical events will be held in Paris, which is the central hub, as well as in five other continental hubs: Tokyo, Beijing, Dakar, Milan and Los Angeles. EDF and Vivendi are associate partners of the GSW. The World Federation of the Sporting Goods Industry (WFSGI) is among the GSW “Proud Supporters.” France will be hosting the 2023 Rugby World Cup and the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
