Diadora has announced the re-release on June 10 of a capsule collection dedicated to a major former Italian football player, Roberto Baggio. The brand first launched the apparel collection at the end of May on the occasion of the release of “Il Divin Codino” (The Divine Ponytail), a Netflix biopic dedicated to the Italian former professional footballer. The title is meant to describe the hairstyle that Baggio wore for most of his career. The first lot of products sold out in less than two hours. The collection comprises three iconic items inspired by the uniforms of the USA ’94 World Cup – the Track Jacket RB Sign, the Sweat Crew RB Sign and the T-Shirt SS RB Sign – all adorned by the player’s autograph. Baggio, who is now 54 years old, is one of the best European football players of all time. As a player, he was especially renowned for his vision, creativity, passing ability and crossing accuracy. Among his multiple awards, he won the Ballon d’Or in 1993.
