Lacoste has agreed on a three-year deal with the Madrid Open as the tournament’s official footwear and apparel sponsor. The tennis tournament, currently sponsored by Mutua Madrileña and also known as Mutua Madrid Open, is one of nine ATP Masters 1000 and four WTA 1000 mandatory events. The tournament is owned by IMG, which completed the acquisition of Madrid Trophy Promotion SLU (MTP), the Spanish entity that operates the event, in April of this year. Lacoste will provide outfits for line judges, on-court staff and tournament crew during the event. In addition, the French brand will open two retail stores at the tournament housing its “Fashion Sport” lines. The agreement will cover the next three editions of the tournament from 2023 through 2025.
