New Balance has launched the official New Balance 2021 TCS New York City Marathon Collection. The 50th edition of the event will mark the return of in-person racing after a year impacted by the pandemic. The New York City Marathon first took place on Sept. 13, 1970, with 127 competitors and has since grown as the world’s largest marathon. The new collection pays homage to the first race by drawing inspiration from Central Park, where the first edition was held. The heart of the collection is the wind and water-resistant Marathon Windcheater Jacket. Among the other pieces, the collection also features a variety of T-shirts and sweatsuits with Central Park designs, as well as renderings of other famous New York City landmarks, including the Statue of Liberty and the skyline. In addition to apparel, this collection features a limited edition of the Fresh Foam 1080v10 shoe and the FuelCell Prism shoe. In addition to the main collection, three limited-edition capsule collections will be introduced beginning in September.
