Puma has teamed up with a storied German automotive brand for the Puma x Porsche Design footwear and apparel collection, intended to mix luxury with performance. The three shoe models – Xetic M, Xetic L and Xetic M Shift – have a new type of sole, called Xetic, that is said to provide “smart cushioning” through responsive foam. Their upper is made of 100% recycled mesh and chrome-free leather, with a Bloom sockliner. The collection’s jacket, part of the RCT (Ready To React) line, has a lining of Seaqual fibers and Thermore padding, both made entirely of recycled polyester, as well as “37.5” thermoregulation and glow-in-the dark fibers. The collection will be available on www.puma.com and at selected retailers. Porsche also has a long-standing collaboration on footwear and clothing with Adidas.
