Salomon has announced that Rich Roll has signed on as a Salomon Running ambassador. Roll, who is 50 years old and currently a vegan ultra-endurance athlete, was previously an entertainment attorney. In 2008, he participated in the 2008 Ultraman World Championships and became the first vegan athlete to complete it, but it was in 2010 that he began his rise to fame after completing the EPIC5 Challenge, a feat comprised of five ironman-distance triathlons on five Hawaii islands in less than a week. He has since launched The Rich Roll Podcast, his popular wellness podcast, and has become a best-selling author of several health and wellness books including “Voicing Change” and “Finding Ultra: Rejecting Middle Age, Becoming One of the World’s Fittest Men, and Discovering Myself.” Roll will be joining the Salomon team for two years. The partnership includes representing Salomon gear as well as elevating Salomon brand stories throughout his platforms.
