Adidas has developed a new store concept to be rolled out in Canada, according to Retail Insider. “The Pulse” concept will be the German brand’s “premium factory outlet concept for the foreseeable future,” as vice president of retail for Canada Lesley Hawkins told the publication. The design is to include modular fixures, for flexibility, and high-capacity fixtures, to meet high demand.
Four such stores will be taking over existing stores in Canada and expanding their floorspace. The Montreal Premium Outlet will be opening on June 30; the Toronto Premium Outlet on Nov. 16; CrossIron Mills, Calgary, also on Nov. 16; and Dartmouth Crossing, Nova Scotia, on Oct. 1. Plans for 2024–25 are yet to be decided.
Retail Insider further reports Adidas is also introducing a concept for the Originals brand called The Collection. An existing Originals store in Vancouver will be expanding and shifting to the new concept on July 21, and another store will be opening in Toronto on Aug. 18.
