French sporting goods brand Decathlon announced at Outdoor Retailer in Denver that it will expand its distribution channels to include key brand partners to provide customers with greater access to its sporting goods offering. Decathlon’s products are available on decathlon.com and through a growing list of retail partners, including specialty stores and larger retail outlets. After returning to U.S. retail in 2017 with the opening of three stores, the sporting goods retailer ended up closing the last two in March of this year. Decathlon is attending the Outdoor Retailer for the first time. The participation at the show and the announced channel expansion to key retail stores in the U.S. signal Decathlon’s growth trajectory and open the door to expanding Decathlon products beyond DTC channels to third-party retailers.
