Decathlon is further expanding its collaborations with grocery store chains across Europe as part of its plan to make its products available to shoppers in their everyday life. After partnering with Carrefour in Belgium earlier this year, Decathlon is now teaming up with Carrefour in Italy. Some roducts of the French sporting goods chain will be available for purchase at three Carrefour Express and four Carrefour Market stores in Milan. At these locations, Carrefour customers will find Decathlon products for fitness, hiking and running as well as sports nutrition (hydration and proteins) products. The pilot phase of the Italian project is starting in July and will continue over the summer period. A similar test was conducted in France in April, in partnership with the Franprix chain of supermarkets, to help people stay fit at home while the coronavirus-related confirnement measures were enforced, as reported in SGI Europe on Apr. 18.
