For the launch of its first men’s capsule ski collection, Dior is opening a pop-up shop in the SoHo neighborhood of New York City, specifically at 109 Greene Street. Other pop-ups – in Osaka, Japan, for instance – will open during the month of November. The New York shop, operating through Jan. 3, will carry the collection’s ready-to-wear items, skis, snowboards and accessories. The collection will otherwise be offered exclusively in selected Dior stores worldwide this month. The items’ design is the fruit of a collaboration between Dior’s artistic director of men’s collections, Kim Jones, and Descente, the Japanese producer of ski and sports apparel and accessories; as well as a Swiss ski company, AK Ski; and Poc, the Swedish manufacturer of helmets, eyewear, body armor, apparel and accessories for snow sports and cycling.
