Shimano Belgium and Lazer Sport will relocate to a new office in Mechelen, Belgium as of July 1, 2021. Shimano Belgium is a subsidiary of Shimano Benelux while Lazer designs bicycle helmets in Belgium and markets these products globally. While sharing the new facilities, Shimano Belgium and Lazer Sport will remain two separate entities. The new premises are conveniently located close to motorway E-19 and 20 minutes from Brussels’ Zaventem Airport.

Meanwhile, Shimano is said to be close to opening its own office and showroom in Uppsala, Sweden for the distribution of its range of fishing tackle products in the Nordic countries, which was previously handled by Normark, a subsidiary of Rapala VMC. The organization will be run by Carl Sterner, who previously managed the hunting and fishing segments for XXL. It will coordinate with dedicated sales and marketing officials at Shimano’s own subsidiaries in Norway, Finland and Denmark.
