Sergio Tacchini Europe has signed a long-term licensing deal with Sugi International for the development, production and distribution of a new line of Sergio Tacchini footwear that will “significantly upgrade the quality and breadth” of the line, while expanding its distribution. The deal covers many countries in Europe, including Russia, as well as North Africa and the Middle East. The first collection will come out for the autumn of 2022. Based in Hong Kong, Sugi is a footwear sourcing company that holds contracts with brands such as Levi’s, Raf Simons, Replay and Stone Island. Sergio Tacchini Europe is a joint venture recently formed by the owner and former U.S. licensee of Sergio Tacchini, Stefano Maroni, with a French company, Movin.
