Nike is introducing a new retail concept, called Nike United, at nine locations around the world, including one at East Kilbride in the U.K. The others are in the U.S., China and South Korea. Coming after the Nike House of Innovation, Nike Rise and Nike Live, the new concept is intended to engage local communities offline and online. A community wall inside the store highlights local partnerships. Design elements tell the story of the community, pointing to local landmarks and local athletes, who are led to connect with local consumers in the digital space. The products offered inside the store are locally curated. Nike United will support local schools and non-profit organizations, giving children opportunities to stay active through the Made to Play program.
