Hibbett, the U.S.-based athletic-inspired fashion and footwear retailer owned by JD Sports Fashion, has announced a new partnership with Uber Eats to offer on-demand delivery of sneakers, apparel, and streetwear. Consumers can now order products from nearly 900 Hibbett stores across the United States, with same-day and scheduled delivery options available through the Uber Eats app.

In a move that expands its omnichannel strategy, Hibbett, Inc. has joined forces with Uber Technologies to integrate its product range into the Uber Eats platform. The collaboration allows customers to browse and purchase sneakers, apparel, and accessories from local Hibbett stores, with orders delivered on demand or at scheduled times.

Hibbett and Uber provide shopping service

The initiative supports Uber’s continued expansion into retail, positioning the platform as a broader lifestyle and convenience service.

“We’re thrilled to share our new partnership with Uber Eats – a collaboration that reimagines what it means to shop locally,” said Bill Quinn, Chief Information Officer at Hibbett. “This initiative isn’t just about faster delivery; it’s about more access for our local communities.”

Hibbett strengthens its role as a community retailer

The partnership aligns with Hibbett’s 80-year legacy as a community retailer for athletes, families, and sneaker enthusiasts. Founded in Birmingham, Alabama, Hibbett operates more than 1,000 stores across 36 states, focusing on athletic-inspired fashion and premium footwear from leading brands such as Nike, Jordan, Adidas, and New Balance. The company’s mission has long been to provide premium product access and personalized service to underserved local markets — a positioning that this collaboration extends into the digital space.

Uber described the rollout as part of its expanding retail playbook.

“From sneakers to sportswear, Uber Eats is here to deliver what consumers need—fast,” said Hashim Amin, Head of Retail for North America at Uber.

Through the partnership, Uber Eats users across the U.S. can now access Hibbett’s selection directly in the app’s Retail category, track deliveries in real time, and benefit from zero delivery fees on eligible orders through the Uber One membership program.

New way for last-mile delivery in the Sporting Goods sector

By combining Hibbett’s established retail footprint with Uber’s delivery infrastructure, both companies are leveraging technology to meet changing consumer expectations for convenience and immediacy — a model that could redefine last-mile delivery in the sporting goods and streetwear sectors.
