The Ski Industry Climate Summit returns to Bolzano, Italy, on January 13–15, 2026, alongside the Pro Winter Show, marking its third edition as the leading forum for climate action in winter sports.
Hosted by Atomic, Protect Our Winters Europe (POW), and the Winter Sports Sustainability Network (WSN), the Ski Industry Climate Summit brings together brands, resorts, federations, retailers, and suppliers to address the sector’s most pressing environmental challenges.
Since its launch in 2023, the Summit has evolved from a brand-focused dialogue into an industry-wide platform driving measurable progress on sustainability amid mounting climate challenges.
WSN tackles ecodesign and carbon cuts
The 2026 agenda includes closed WSN working group sessions on ecodesign, recycling, life-cycle assessment, decarbonization, and traceability, followed by two days of open conference discussions. Key topics will cover regulatory shifts in Europe and the US, market trends, and success stories in circular business models and material innovation.
For the sporting goods industry, the stakes are high.
Climate change threatens the viability of winter sports, and compliance with new sustainability regulations is reshaping product development and sourcing strategies. By fostering joint solutions, the Summit aims to accelerate emissions reduction, improve material cycles, and strengthen advocacy—critical steps for safeguarding both the environment and the economic future of snow sports.
