Under Armour has raised its outlook for this year's growth in revenues to between 33 and 35 percent from a previous forecast of 29 to 31 percent, following a better than expected performance in the second quarter, which saw the company's overall sales jump by 42.2 percent to $291.3 million. Revenues rose by 36.4 percent to $204.8 million in apparel and by 31.0 percent to $46.9 in footwear. They tripled for accessories. At only $14 million, sales outside the U.S. remained marginal in the quarter, but they showed an increase of 58 percent, mostly in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The gross margin fell to 46.3 percent from 48.8 percent a year ago. Net income went up by 78.2 percent to $6.2 million.
