Wilson, the racquet sports, team sports and equipment brand, is preparing a major brand marketing campaign starring Serena Williams and Roger Federer. It will initially run in the U.S. The company says the “My Wilson” campaign is meant to cast the spotlight on the relationships between athletes and their equipment. Putting strong emphasis on social and digital media, it centers around a video called “Nothing Without It,” featuring pros who share the ups and downs of their stories with young amateur athletes, in tennis as well as baseball, golf, basketball, soccer and football. Other players are invited to join the conversation by making their own clip and posting it on social media using #MyWilson. Some of the amateur clips will feature in the final cut of the video with the Wilson pros.
