Xponential Fitness, Inc., the world’s largest franchisor of boutique fitness brands headquartered in California, announced the signing of a master franchise agreement in Mexico for its StretchLab, Rumble and AKT brands. The agreement provides the master franchisee with the ability to license at least 60 studios of the three brands to potential franchisees in Mexico over the next ten years. As of Dec. 31, 2021, Xponential had 2,100 open studios worldwide, operating in 10 countries and four continents. The Mexican master franchisee is a division of Grupo ITISA, one of Mexico’s largest infrastructure companies. Grupo ITISA is also active in the hospitality industry as a franchise development partner for Danish furniture store Bo Concept and U.S. family entertainment brand Chuck E. Cheese.

Xponential Fitness continues to make great strides in its international expansion, with successful studio launches in Australia, the Dominican Republic, Japan, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea and Spain, and plans for additional studios in Austria, Germany and the U.K. The growth has been accelerated by Xponential’s recent acquisition of its tenth boutique fitness brand, BFT. BFT is an Australian-based functional training and strength-based fitness franchisor that operated over 150 studios in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and the United States as of Dec. 31, 2021.

Xponential Fitness’ portfolio of brands includes Club Pilates, CycleBar, StretchLab, Row House, AKT, YogaSix, Pure Barre, Stride, Rumble and BFT. In April, the group also launched its new digital platform, Xponential+, which provides live and on-demand access to the same in-demand workouts offered at thousands of studios around the globe. Xponential Fitness also recently announced its collaboration with Lululemon to create an original fitness program for Mirror, the brand’s smart gym that features a robust workout library with more than 10,000 on-demand classes.
