Pisteworks 79

DPS Skis, known for the carbon-fiber technology of its freeride and freeski skis, has introduced the first full-carbon carving skis designed for high-performance alpine skiing. The Pisteworks 79, the debut model of the new Pisteworks series, redefines frontside carving with agility, energy transfer and durability.

“Traditionally, carving skis relied on metal and fiberglass for stability,” says Thomas Laakso, DPS Senior Vice President. “Pisteworks delivers the same stability with carbon, paired with unmatched agility.”

The Pisteworks 79 features a 13.5-meter turn radius and includes Phantom Glide, a permanent base treatment eliminating the need for waxing. It is available in lengths from 160cm to 181cm. Pre-orders are now open, with shipments beginning in February 2025.

Four-time Olympian Ted Ligety led the skis’ design and testing, using lab analysis and on-snow data to perfect their responsiveness and traction.

The Pisteworks series marks DPS Skis’ expansion into carving skis, with additional models planned for the 2025/26 season.
