The 700-square-meter store at Amagertorv brings the brand’s full performance and lifestyle offer to Denmark’s capital, as Skechers pushes deeper into one of Europe’s most brand-competitive retail markets

Skechers has opened its first flagship store in Copenhagen, establishing a 700-square-meter destination at Amagertorv – one of the Danish capital’s most-trafficked retail addresses. The store is the brand’s biggest physical presence in the Nordics to date and brings its full performance and lifestyle range to Danish consumers under one roof.

A Nordic market with real momentum

Skechers is consolidating its presence across Denmark. With 32 locations now operating in the country – including four concept stores already in Copenhagen – the flagship strengthens visibility and brand experience.

The central pedestrian square of Amagertorv draws both locals and international visitors. A flagship in a high-footfall, premium-adjacent location maximises brand exposure across consumer segments.

Store design and product offer

The Copenhagen store draws on mid-century design references, with digital LED screens and local graphic elements shaping the retail environment. A dedicated performance gallery covers running, football, golf, padel and court sports, basketball and outdoor footwear, alongside lifestyle categories for men, women and children.

An apparel and accessories range is being introduced to Denmark through the store. That is a notable addition for a brand whose footwear lines have historically led its European market presence.

Athlete roster adds local resonance

In Denmark, Skechers is also active on the partnership side, working with notable athletes such as Danish footballer Matt O’Riley, alongside Harry Kane, Joel Embiid and golfer Brooke Henderson. Athlete partnerships have become a consistent part of Skechers’ European brand-building strategy as it seeks greater performance credibility against more established rivals.
