Nike has officially renamed its world headquarters in Portland, Oregon, as the Philip H. Knight Campus, in recognition of the legacy of its co-founder and former chairman, Phil Knight.

The decision marks a symbolic tribute to Knight’s pivotal role in shaping Nike from a small running shoe company into the world’s largest athletic brand. The company’s 400-acre site, often referred to as Nike World Headquarters, has been the heart of its operations since 1990, when it first brought together employees who had previously been spread across multiple locations in the Portland area.
Philip H. Knight Campus signage will be installed in 2026
Over the years, the campus has grown significantly – from an initial six buildings to more than 40 facilities, including the Nike Sport Research Lab, the Serena Williams Building and the LeBron James Innovation Center, which opened in 2021.
New signage reflecting the Philip H. Knight Campus name will be installed in 2026, marking the latest acknowledgment of Knight’s continued influence on the brand’s culture of innovation, sport and performance.
