The Swedish textile innovator and the global fashion retailer are teaming up to increase the recycling of textiles and decrease the use of virgin fibers.
Swedish fashion conglomerate H&M Group announced a multi-year strategic sourcing agreement with Circulose, a Stockholm-based developer of textile-to-textile recycled materials. The agreement deepens H&M’s use of Circulose, a dissolving pulp made entirely from discarded textiles, across its collections, marking a significant step toward replacing virgin viscose with recycled alternatives.
Under the agreement, H&M Group becomes one of Circulose’s first official Scaling Partners, aiming to transition a substantial share of its man-made cellulosic fiber use to Circulose. The partnership is intended to accelerate the restart of Circulose’s production operations and enable broader commercial adoption of next-generation materials.
