Soccer Aid, the charity event in aid of UNICEF, announced former England player Jill Scott will lead the England side in the world’s biggest charity football game – the first time a female player has skippered England. Scott will play alongside fellow Soccer Aid debutants, including former Lioness Karen Carney, Chelsea’s defender Gary Cahill and Arsenal’s midfielder Jack Wilshere. Recently retired Premier League striker Jermain Defoe will also play.

England will play the Soccer Aid World XI FC team, combining professionals and celebrities, including Usain Bolt (Captain) and Robbie Keane (Coach).

Puma and Primark return as Principal Partners, with EA Sports and STATSports as Official Partners.

The match will take place on Sunday, June 11, at Manchester United’s Old Trafford stadium. An expected 74,000 fans will be in attendance.

Soccer Aid for UNICEF has raised over £75 million for UNICEF since 2006.
