Intersport International Corporation (IIC) has elected Alexander von Preen, chief executive of Intersport Germany, to its management board with a unanimous vote. Von Preen’s term extends to the annual general meeting in 2023. Intersport Germany has been absent of late from the management board due to the recent resignation of Mathias Boenke. IIC’schairman, Rick White, described Von Preen as having “wide-ranging retail experience” on an operative and strategic level. Von Preen himself said, “We have a mandate to bundle the various interests of our leading sports retailers around the globe and to speak with one strong voice to the industry.”
