Klarna launched a new “rich and unbiased search and compare tool” in the Klarna App in the U.S. last month and is now expanding it to the U.K., Sweden and Denmark. The tool compares prices from thousands of retailers. In addition, consumers can filter their search by criteria that matter to them, such as color, size, features, customer reviews, in-store availability and shipping options, eliminating the frustration of sifting through millions of confusing results on traditional search engines. According to the fintech, the search and comparison tool offers consumers a credible alternative to Google or Amazon as a starting point for their online shopping trips and opens up a new revenue stream for Klarna. The tool builds on last year’s acquisition of PriceRunner, Klarna’s largest acquisition to date.

“For Klarna, today’s launch is a major milestone in our evolution from a payment network to a single shopping destination that covers everything from inspiring product discovery through to delivery tracking, digital receipts and seamless returns,” said Sebastian Siemiatkowski, co-founder and CEO of Klarna.
