The German sportswear company has filled a key leadership position, appointing Anne Putz as senior director of corporate communications effective immediately. Putz, who reports directly to CEO Arthur Hoeld, succeeds Kerstin Neuber, who left the company at the end of 2025 after 18 years.
In her new role, the 53-year-old will lead PUMA’s external and internal corporate communications and act as corporate spokesperson, according to a company statement released Jan. 8. Born in Luxembourg, Anne Putz brings more than 25 years of experience in international corporate communications to the Herzogenaurach-based company. Throughout her career, she has held leadership positions across various industries, where she developed and implemented strategic communications concepts.

Most recently, Putz served as head of communications at Heraeus Precious Metals from July to December 2025. Before that brief stint, she held the position of vice president media relations at technology group GEA, and led communications and marketing at logistics company GLS for more than eight years until June 2021.
Her career also includes a significant tenure in the sporting goods sector. From 2001 to 2008, Putz served as head of corporate PR at PUMA’s rival Adidas, giving her deep familiarity with the industry. She began her professional career as a journalist at Bloomberg news wire.
“With Anne, we have an expert on our team who will bring new energy and perspectives to PUMA’s corporate communications,” said Hoeld. “Given her great network and extensive experience, I am convinced that she is the right person to further develop PUMA’s external and internal corporate communications during this important phase for the company.”
Putz emphasized the strategic importance of communications during periods of organizational change. “In times of change, clarity, consistency and credibility in communications are essential,” she said. “Together with my team, I look forward to strengthening trust among internal and external stakeholders and contributing to positioning PUMA as one of the world’s top three sports brands.”
