Tiger Woods is gearing up for a much-anticipated comeback on the PGA Tour after a lengthy hiatus, with golf enthusiasts eagerly anticipating the legendary player’s return to the greens at the Genesis Invitational in Los Angeles. Many are also wondering about Woods’ apparel choices for the occasion after Nike and Woods parted ways earlier this year after a 27-year collaboration, sparking speculation about the golfer’s clothing sponsor for his comeback. While there were rumors of On as a new partner, the company officially confirmed that they would not be partnering with Woods.
Now, it appears we may have an answer. TaylorMade, the equipment sponsor for Woods since 2017, has filed multiple trademarks for a brand called “Sunday Red.” Three trademarks have been registered with the US Patent and Trademark Office by TaylorMade Lifestyle Ventures LLC, including a tiger outline, “Sunday Red” and “SDR.” The patent applications cover a range of clothing items such as shirts, shorts, pants, jackets, sweatshirts, sweatpants, joggers, skirts, dresses, hoodies, sports jackets, polos, golf shirts, golf pants, footwear and headwear.
In a couple of weeks, Woods will be making his comeback on the PGA Tour, and at that time, we’ll likely have the answer to the question: What will he be wearing?
