Serena Williams is wearing a special outfit at the US Open in New York, which is set to be the last tournament of her career. Inspired by figure skating apparel, the outfit incorporates a crystal-encrusted bodice that refracts light and shines, alluding to the night sky at the tournament and a six-layer skirt that celebrates her six prior titles in New York. The look is paired with custom PE NikeCourt Flare 2 shoes, featuring a diamond-encrusted Swoosh design and her initials on the medial side. The solid gold deubrés on the laces feature 400 hand-set diamonds in black ceramic, created in collaboration with Serena Williams Jewelry. Nike also designed a matching diamond-encrusted jacket and tote to complete Williams’ US Open look in Flushing. The tennis star herself provided the full vision and details for the look design she would wear at her farewell tournament, Nike said.
