Deckers brand Ugg is launching its first Classic Mini Regenerate boot this fall, with model and land protector Quannah ChasingHorse to be the face of the advertising campaign. The new boot is crafted from Land to Market-certified sheepskin from Atkins Ranch, with an outsole from sugar cane. The remaining emissions around the shoe production are compensated with carbon offsetting, making the boot officially carbon neutral. The launch is in line with the Deckers-owned brand’s commitment to helping restore one million acres of grassland into regenerative farmland by 2025. The company has since partnered with Savory Institute and Land to Market, which promote verified regenerative farming solutions.
For every purchase of the Classic Mini Regenerate, Ugg contributes to the conversion of twenty acres of grassland to regenerative farmland. To get there, it has announced to donate $6 per pair from the total purchase to the Savory Institute.
