Puma has announced a partnership with the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL) for all club and national team matches for the next three years, starting from the 2024 season. Founded in 1916, CONMEBOL is the oldest continental football federation. Puma will sponsor major tournaments across Latin America like the Copa América, Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana. The German sportswear firm will also supply the official match footballs, referee uniforms and staff kits. Futsal, beach soccer and female, pre-Olympic and youth categories will also use Puma sports equipment.

In addition, Puma has signed a long-term agreement with the African Football Confederation (CAF) that makes Puma the official technical partner of CAF. As part of the agreement, which starts on Nov. 1, 2023, Puma will supply the official match ball at CAF tournaments and the kit for referees. The brand will also engage in several marketing opportunities inside and outside the stadium. Puma has a long-standing tradition of football partnerships in Africa since first equipping national teams in 1997. Today, the company has agreements with six football federations on the African continent, including Senegal, the current African champions, and Morocco, the first African nation ever to reach a semifinal at a World Cup in 2022. African football attracts fans well beyond the continent, reminded Puma in a statement, with a strong viewership in major markets like the UK, France and the U.S.
