The Decathlon stores in Spain’s Valencian Community have teamed up with the Trinindad Alfonso Foundation to promote sports among the youngest in schools across the region. The Trinidad Alfonso Foundation is chaired by Juan Roig, the majority owner of the Spanish supermarket chain Mercadona. The Decathlon stores in the autonomous community will collaborate in two projects carried out by the foundation, called “Dia de l’Esport” and “Esport a l’Escola +1h EF”. Decathlon will provide sports equipment to the schools that take part in the projects as well as specific products for the technicians of the federations that organize the activities in the participating schools.
