Sales of Björn Borg shoes increased by 60 percent in the first nine months of this year, but this didn't prevent the Swedish company by the same name from posting a 2 percent drop in revenues to 413.4 million Swedish kronor (€45.1m-$60.8m) and a drop in net profit to SEK 51.2 million (€5.6m-$7.5m) for the period. In terms of local currencies, sales increased by 5 percent over the nine months. For the third quarter alone, the company's net profit declined by 34.3 percent as sales went down by 6 percent to SEK 160.2 million (€17.5m-$23.5m), due to investments and inventory corrections by distribution partners.
