Bikkoa has launched new pádel glasses, a photochromic version of the Goat model, designed for both indoor and outdoor play – and to withstand the impact of a ball traveling at 180km/h.
The chief selling point here is the lenses, which are photochromic through and through in their polycarbonate material rather than as the result of a surface treatment. In other words, they will react to ambient light. They will also block UV light and can be corrective (from +2 to -6 diopters), progressive or mirrored. The switch to corrective lenses is purportedly easy, thanks to Bikkoa’s patented Easy Change System.
The glasses come in two sizes – “lite” (narrow at the temple tips) and “usual”. The special lenses add €50 to the €124.95 retail price of the regular model with its colored lenses.
Bikkoa is a privately held company headquartered in Badalona, Barcelona province, Spain. In addition to glasses, it produces pádel racquets, pádel apparel, pádel accessories and even pádel coffee, with its own accessories.
