Active padel players around the world now exceed 35 million, according to the second edition of the FIP World Padel Report. The number of clubs is up 16.1 percent compared to last year, courts increased by 15.2 percent, and registered federation members grew by 42 percent. Padel also shows significant growth on the web and social media, with 70 million page views on the website and over 800,000 followers on International Padel Federation (FIP) channels. The new edition of the report was presented during the FIP General Assembly in Acapulco on Nov. 28, 2025.

The growth of padel spans all five continents, driven also by an increase in the number of FIP-organized tournaments, from 182 in 2024 to 290 in 2025. Clubs increased by 4,775 units, surpassing 24,600. Courts have reached a total number of 77,300, 14,355 more than a year earlier. Padel courts are spread across 150 nations and 20 dependent territories (+26 compared to the FIP World Padel Report 2024).

More than 61 percent of amateur padel players are in Europe, 19 percent in South America, 7.7 percent in Central and North America, 6.8 percent in Asia, and 4.9 percent in Africa, while Oceania has a few fractions of a percentage point. The majority of amateur padel players are men (60 percent), but the report points out that padel is one of the sports most played by women, who account for 40 percent of the total.

The top 15 countries by number of padel courts are: Spain (17,300), Italy (10,220), Argentina (7,000), Sweden (4,220), France (4,000), Netherlands (3,570), Mexico (2,560), Chile (2,300), Belgium (2,150), Paraguay (2,000), Denmark (1,575), Portugal (1,560), Egypt (1,500), South Africa (1,210), and Saudi Arabia (1,130).

The World Padel Report is produced by the FIP Research & Data Analysis Department. The document is made possible thanks to the contributions of numerous affiliated national federations across all five continents, notably through the FIP National Federation Survey 2025.

The International Padel Federation, headquartered in Lausanne, owns and manages a range of events, such as: Cupra FIP Tour, Qatar Airways Premier Padel, and FIP Promises. In 2026, one new circuit dedicated to amateur players will be launched: FIP Beyond
