Running shoe and apparel manufacturer Craft has released ”The Ultimate guide to running,” a 240-page coffee table book with a foreword by legendary long-distance runner and Craft athlete Tommy “Rivs” Puzey. Although the book is a real eye-catcher and design highlight, it contains only two short sentences: “Left foot. Right foot.”

“We wanted to explore what the essence of running was. Although it’s hard to admit, the conclusion is that it doesn’t matter what shoes you wear or what logo is on your shirt. As long as you keep putting your left foot in front of your right, you’re running,” said Daniel Högling, product and marketing director of Craft International.

The project celebrates the attitude, the mindset to running and the fact that it doesn’t matter how you run as long as you do it. Just put one foot in front of the other, whether going for an evening jog or trying to break world records. Whether it’s cold, dark, hot, raining or snowing. One foot in front of the other.

“There are so many conflicting voices, each telling us what to do - from how to train to what to eat and how to move. Not only is it beyond confusing, but it distracts us from what really matters in running: the mindset that moves us forward. Left foot. Right foot,” commented Puzey.

The running guide was launched on Nov. 4 at the Fleet Feet Columbus Circle store during the New York Marathon and is available for €40 on craftsportswear.com.
